Paul Slater was convicted of the July 1995 shooting deaths of two men in Houston. According to the report, Slater and a juvenile co-defendant met the men at a car wash to negotiate a drug transaction. After the two men got into the back seat of Slater's car, Slater walked to the back of the car, drew a pistol and fired into the back seat, killing both men.
