Relationship Breakup Advice - Understanding What Went Wrong
However, if you know what actually went wrong and what it is that women and men really want then you will be ahead of the game in getting your ex back or in keeping a relationship healthy.
In many cases the outward "surface reason" that the relationship ended is obvious.
For example, too much arguing, infidelity, etc.
However, what is interesting is that most reasons for breaking up ultimately come down to one or both of the people in a relationship not getting what they want.
So what do they want? Men want admiration.
They are swamped with admiration by their girl at the beginning of a relationship.
She dresses up for him, does her hair up nice, laughs at his jokes, smiles and giggles.
But as time wears on she does less and less of this and is no longer laughing at his jokes much or showing him much interest.
In the worse case scenario some women find themselves nagging or constantly arguing.
The actual message that is being conveyed to the man is that she is unsatisfied with him as a person and his accomplishments/life.
At this point he is likely to leave and is highly vulnerable to the admiration of another woman.
Women want appreciation.
Although this is similar to admiration since they are both forms of attention, there is a difference.
Women need to feel that her man appreciates the things she does.
This is the form of attention that women crave.
They want to know that they are loved and valued.
A man's indifference or distance will make her feel unappreciated for what she contributes to the home/relationship and to the man's life.
A woman who has an affair will fall for someone who talks to them, listens to them and shows appreciation for who she is and the things she does.
Knowing the types of attention that men and women need may help you to look back on your relationship and see where things went wrong.
Also, knowing what makes men and women "tick" will help you with future relationships.
