Eureka Copper Canyon 1512 Cabin Tent Review

What makes the Eureka Copper Canyon 1512 Cabin Tent a better choice than its predecessor, the Copper Canyon 1312, is its additional 24 square feet interior and the extra awning pole that adds to its overall stability. The vertical walls have maximized the interior space to accommodate sleeping cots for up to twelve people. Center height reaches up to 7 ft. 4 in. and the whole interior space can be divided into two rooms by an adjustable divider that comes with the tents structure. This tent has two doors, six windows, eight storage pockets, a gear loft, and a clear-panel overhead perfect for stargazing at night.

This tent uses a combination of steel and hybrid fiberglass for its frame, providing a sturdier support that is freestanding and is as easy to set up with clips, rings and pins as it is to tear down after camping out. The mesh roof and windows keep a decent flow of air inside the tent, while at the same time keeping the bugs out. Adding to its convenience of use, this tent also has a side port that allows for insertion of an electrical hook up. Also, its two-door structure allows for both convenience and privacy, especially when the tent is divided into two separate rooms.

The Eureka Copper Canyon 1512 Cabin Tent is also made of a water-resistant material which provides an efficient shelter even in the heaviest of rains with its windows covered by water-proof storm backs and the roof equally protected by a rainfly made of multi-coated polyester. The design of this tent also keeps the seams tight and clear off the ground to keep them from getting worn and torn by the weather. This tent only ships via UPS and is a special order item that comes directly from its manufacturer.

It mostly got positive reviews from its consumers, many of whom found the spacious interior especially convenient. The easy set-up quality of this tent has also provided efficiency and convenience for the many families who regularly go on car camping trips together. The mesh on the windows and the roof are fine to keep even the tiniest of gnats out while still letting good ventilation in. And once a chill starts settling in, the rainfly on this tent is fairly easy to slip on with help from two to three people.

Negative reviews for Eureka Copper Canyon 1512 Cabin Tent point out the poor quality of its floor, which is made from the same material as the walls. Apparently, this is not a very ideal design as the wall material does not really do just as well against horizontal pressure and may become riddled with holes after just a couple of uses. Putting a large canvas tarp underneath and some area rugs above it can help make the floor last longer.

The tent is a car camping companion that withstands drastic changes in weather, and is highly recommended for every family or group of campers who love to go out and enjoy nature under the stars.
