How to Upgrade the Server With Symantec Endpoint
- 1). Find a server computer with administrative privileges.
- 2). Buy a copy of "Symantec Endpoint Protection" from Symantec's website. The installation disc will be shipped to your company address.
- 3). Insert the Endpoint CD-ROM into your CD/DVD-ROM drive. Wait till you see a setup wizard.
- 4). Select the option "Install Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager." Follow on-screen instructions and click "Finish" to complete the installation process.
- 5). Restart your computer when prompted. A new wizard labeled "Server Configuration Wizard" will pop up on your screen when your computer finishes the booting process.
- 6). Choose the "Advanced" option and select "Next."
- 7). Type the total number of clients that you want the server to manage. Click "Next."
- 8). Select the option "Install my first site." Click "Next."

Select "No" when asked whether you wish to log on to Endpoint Protection Manager before deploying client software. - 21
