Generally when people start dieting, they focus on cutting calories and lose focus on what they are putting into their bodies.
Even worse, it's not uncommon for these same people to put on weight, even while they are cutting their caloric intake.
If you follow these basic rules, in addition to paying attention to your calorie intake, you'll be well on your way to gaining the sexy toned body you want.

You should always eat breakfast.

You should try to eat your main meal at lunchtime.

You should eat a small snack at bedtime.
4.
No alcohol.

Only decaffeinated coffee.
6.
No chocolate.
7.
No artificial sweeteners or diet colas.
8.
One main meal with potatoes, rice or pasta every day.
9.
Four pieces of fruit a day.
10.
Three slices of bread a day.
11.
An 'allowance' of no more than 7 g/l/4 oz butter per day.
12.
A pint of skimmed milk a day PLUS one glass of 2% milk.
13.
SIX glasses of water every day - in addition to other drinks.

One salad every day.

Aim to eat five separate meals throughout the day Main meals All main meals should be accompanied by vegetables and potatoes or rice.
Even if your meal has vegetables in it, you should still have a side of fresh vegetables which should include some dark, leafy ones such as cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower or spinach.
Light meals You will want to have at least two or three light meals each day, these meals when consumed in addition to your main meal of the day will help power you through your day's activities.
Along with your light meals, it is important that you also have a salad meal every day, so if you make your own light meal to take to work, choose either a salad-based meal or sandwiches which include salad vegetables.
Plenty of variety The days when a salad consisted of little more than limp lettuce, a few slices of cucumber and a sliced tomato are well over.
Supermarkets are now full of the most varied and wonderful displays of fruit and vegetables, and we are far more experimental these days than we used to be when it comes to mixing weird and exotic ingredients in a bowl and calling it a salad.
The next time you are at the supermarket spend a few minutes looking at the wide variety of salads there are, you can choose from iceberg lettuce, radicchio lettuce, and even fully prepared lettuce salads to name a few.
Not all the recipes are lettuce-based.
You can have salads with fruit, nuts, cheese, and grains.
Just as with your salads you should also bring the same variety to your meals.
If you consume the same meal every day, your body begins to get used to it, and it starts to store more energy from your meals.
Changing up your meals, not only helps you avoid the boredom of eating the same meal each day, but also helps your raise your body's metabolism.
