How to Clean Up a Wooden Baseboard
- 1). Run a soft brush vacuum cleaner attachment all along the baseboards to remove surface dust for light, routine cleaning.
- 2). Fill a bucket with warm water and three to five drops of dish soap. Mix the solution well.
- 3). Dip an absorbent cloth into the soapy water and wring it out well. Wipe the baseboard starting at one end and working all the way to the other. Wipe the sides and top of the baseboard. Let the wood air dry.
- 4). Combine 2 cups of ammonia and 1 gallon of warm water if the baseboard is especially dirty. Use a clean cloth dampened with the ammonia mixture to scrub the wooden baseboard clean. Let the baseboard air dry.
