Data Collection

The data collected included demographic information, intervention, postoperative surgical complications, heterotopic ossification (HO), adjacent segment disease, along with validated quality of life outcomes. The validated quality of life (QOL) outcomes used in the studies presented are the Neck Disability Index (NDI), the Visual Analog Scale (VAS), the Japanese Orthopedic Association (JOA) score, and the 36-Short Form Health Survey (SF-36). These clinical scales are commonly used to evaluate the overall function and quality of life (SF-36) and cervical spine function in patients who have undergone anterior cervical disc arthroplasty. A P-value less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
