Jeffrey Salery, a 50-year-old inmate at the John Latorraca Facility, pummeled another, putting him in the hospital, all because he insulted Michael Jackson.

Salary told correctional officers that a 21-year-old-inmate "disrespected Michael Jackson," according to the Modesto Bee.

The inmate's exact words were not specifically clear. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Salery is expected to be charged with aggravated assault and battery.
