How to Repair a Sink With Low Water Pressure
- 1). Wrap the jaws on a pair of pliers with electrical tape to protect the faucet's finish from damage. Clamp the wrench to the aerator's body on the spout opening and twist it counterclockwise to remove the aerator body.
- 2). Take apart the different pieces of the aerator and line them up in the order you removed them. Wash the aerator pieces in a stream of water to remove all sediment from the aerator.
- 3). Reassemble the faucet's aerator and hand-thread it onto the spout's opening. Use the pliers to tighten the aerator back onto the spout's opening.
- 4). Turn both water control valves located under the sink counterclockwise by hand as far as possible. This will open the valves completely, allowing the maximum amount of water to flow out of the spout.
