Interesting facts on Photocopiers and Fax"s
directly using photographic means. we usually find that photocopying is
handy when just a handful of copies of an original are needed When
larger amounts are required, more economical printing process are
required. Although, when you use a printing process, the original
master or even a stencil can occasionally be made.
A modern day photocopier or copier as its sometimes known is a device
that produces paper copies or original documents or other documents
such as stencils, plans, drawings etc. These reproductions can be
produced extremely quickly and cheaply. Most of the current models of
photocopiers use xerography technology, which is a dryphotocopying
method produced by a guy called Chester Carlson in the late 1930's, he
was given an award for this in October 1942. Mr Carlson called his
original invention electrophotography, which is a dry process which
uses heat, there are other techniques used like ink jet methods, ink
jet printers work in a different way they propelle different sized
drops on molten or liquid material onto any different size page. Ink
Jet printers are the most commonly used out of all printers available
for computer type printing and general use due to their low running
costs and the excellent standard of print and colour and ease of use,
for for office use, Xerography is still the standard printer for
copying.
Xerox introduced office photocopying, it is a huge document management
corporation, which produces and sells a huge number of black and white
and colour pribnter, photocopiers, printing presses, multi-function
units, they also offer consultation servies and supplies for all their
machines.
Photocopying machines are used in many areas such as business, schools,
colleges, eduction and government bodies, it is sure that eventually
the photocopier will become a thing of the past as digital distribution
of documential becomes evermore popular. Pieces of paper being passed
around, is a waste of natural resources.
The Fax Machine
The fax machine or facsimile machine as it should be calledis a mchines
that is used to transmit document using the phone line. The Fax machine
comes under the huge bubble which is now "digital technology". The fax
machine will digitize and image and change it to electrical impulses,
that can then be transmitted over our phone lines. The fascimile
machine on the receiving end can then convert the impulses back to the
dots, therefore replicating the original image - clever eh!!
A Fascimile machine is made up of various parts including an optical
scanner which digitises the images onto the paper, a printer part which
will be used for printing the incoming fascimile messages and also
required is a telephone line for connection.
