Motorcycle tour enthusiast have always sought new routes for their tours.
In this article, we would look at a tour as put together by EagleRider.
In This tour, the rides starts in Los Angeles and wind down back to Los Angeles where it ends.
The tour takes a total of 16 days, including arrival and depature days.
You would be covering a total of about 2452 miles on this tour.
Let us now look at the first half of the tour covering eight days.
Day 1 This is the day you arrive at Los Angeles to start your trip.
The tour starts tomorrow so you can chill in your hotel and get yourself ready.
Day 2 Today, the tour really takes off.
You go to EagleRider motorcycle rentals and pick up your Harley-Davidson which would be your companion for the next 14 to 15 days.
This ride would take you from Los Angeles to Ensenada.
Your ride is southward.
You would ride past Long Beach, past Orange County, past San Diego.
This would bring you to the Mexican border.
From here, just an hour's ride would see you into Ensenada which ends today's ride.
There is a lot by way of entertainment to be found here.
A good example would be a visit to the oldest bar in Mexico called Hussing's.
You get some rest for tomorrow's ride.
Day 3 Today, you would be covering 235 miles from Ensenada to Catavina.
Your ride continues on Hwy 1.
You would be going farther south, getting more deeply into Baja.
As you ride on, you would enter Vizcaino Desert where you would see the great sights this area has to offer.
Your stop for the day is Catavina and there you put up for the night.
Day 4 You would be riding an average of 245 miles today from Catavina to San Ignacio.
You will be leaving Catavina via Hwy1.
There are many lovely sights to see as you would be riding over summits of 3000 feet, flat topped volcanic cones and hills covered in cactus.
Ride on and you would get to Pueblo, San Ignacio.
This is actually a real desert oasis which is situated at the bottom of a wide arroyo.
Here you would find date palms and cold ponds.
You would be putting up for the night here.
Day 5 After yesterday's 245 mile ride, we would be cutting down to 171 miles covering San Ignacio to Loreto.
Once again, you continue your ride on Hwy1.
An interesting point to note is the Volcan Las Tre Virgenes.
Ride on through Devils Grade as you get into the Coast of the Sea of Cortez.
As you head towards Loreto which happens to be the oldest Spanish settlement on the West Coast, you would pass through Bahia Concepcion, volcanic islands and lovely beaches.
Get to Loreto, check the town out and rest for the night.
Day 6 Today's trip is a 225 mile tour leading from Loreto to La Paz.
You would be riding along the base of Sierra de la Giganta Mountains.
You would then climb to the summit and ride past hat shaped mountain peaks.
Your ride would also take you through Santa Domingo Valley and you would ride across the peninsula till you reach the edge of a lagoon.
From here, the city of La Paz comes into view in the distance.
Here at La Paz is where you would lodge for the night.
Day 7 This is almost half of the tour.
Our destination for today is Cabo San Lucas.
We would be covering 139 miles today.
You would ride into San Jose del Cabo and continue down the coast of Bahia San Lucas.
This coast has an interesting history.
Pirates in the 16th and 17th centuries were said to have used this coast as a hiding place.
Maybe you can try for some hidden treasures.
The resort community called Cabo San Lucas is your resting place for the next two nights.
Its all your to enjoy for the period.
Day 8 No rides today since you are resting.
Well, more like rest from moving from city to city.
You would be looking around and having fun.
There is a lot to enjoy and you would not be hurrying to ride off today.
Take your time and have fun today.
