How to Put Up a Pop-up Tent
- 1). Find a level and clear area to set up your campsite. Clean it up as necessary by removing sticks, rocks and other lumps that can cause discomfort.
- 2). Lay out all the parts and tools for setting up your tent. This includes the main body of the tent, stakes, soft mallet and rain fly.
- 3). Unfold the tent and let the flexible rods prop up into place. Position the tent so that the door is facing your desired location. Stretch out all corners so it is laying as flat as possible.
- 4). Thread the stake through the loops at each corner then use the soft mallet to hammer the stakes into the ground. Pull the tent tightly as you do this.
- 5). Inspect all the flexible rods to ensure they are positioned properly. If your tent has any collapsible poles, straighten each joint and prop up completely. Attach the poles to the pins on the corners of your tent.
- 6). Take the rain fly and spread the fabric over the top of your tent for cover. This helps protect the pop up tent from winds, moisture and rain. Secure the rain fly by attaching its fasteners to the corners or poles of the tent.
