How to Change the Light in an Autometer 2431
- 1). Unscrew the thumb nut that secures the mounting bracket to the rear of the gauge and remove the mounting bracket.
- 2). Pull the gauge forward out of the dash, just far enough to reach the illuminating bulb socket on the rear of the gauge housing.
- 3). Twist the bulb socket to unlock it, and pull it out of the gauge housing.
- 4). Unscrew the light bulb from the socket. Replace the bulb with an Auto Meter 2389 replacement bulb. Reinstall the bulb socket in the gauge housing, twisting it to lock it in place.
- 5). Push the gauge back into the dashboard. Install the mounting bracket on the rear of the gauge and secure it with the thumb nut.
