Ever wonder if it's possible to escape the hustle and congestion of urban life without having to completely abandon quite-urban comforts, such as a nice bed? Now, a backpacker who is more proud might scoff at the thought of using camping air beds and argue that it's not all 'roughing it' if it's not at all rough.
However, it is undeniable that these beds do make camping easier.
If you have back problems or if you are one of those people who believe that nature should be appreciated, and that camping is still camping even with an air bed, then these beauties are for you.
Features In the past, inflatable beds were rather uncomfortable.
However, technology allowed for the developments in insulation, material and structure.
This means that nowadays, there are camping air beds that do not wobble, and are comfortable.
It also eliminated those distracting sounds that one would have heard whenever you make the slightest movements on a plastic surface.
Camping air beds are also inflatable and deflatable, so you can easily carry it along.
Some even has memory foam built on the top side so you don't have to worry about insulation.
Prices of these aero beds range from $100 to $300.
While it is true that you can get some for $40, you have to accept that they wouldn't be as comfortable or as durable as those with higher prices.
In this case, you'd just have to figure out whether you are going to use them frequently, or just once.
Benefits Camping inflatable beds sit higher from the ground, when compared to most camping pads used.
Not everybody feel comfortable with beds or mats that sit quite low on the ground - and we're not just talking about being whimsical.
The thing is, there are people who might not be able to get in and out of bed as easy as others could - people with back problems, etc.
It is also a good way to make things easier for children.
Let's face it, most of them like the outdoors but only a handful are keen with sleeping mats that are way too low and would let them feel twigs and rocks right under their backs.
Camping aero beds are also inflatable, and most are made of lightweight material.
This means that you won't break your back when you bring them along.
