Tip # 1 Is Consistency Along with a well devised cleaning and sterilizing effort the key ingredient is consistency.
You have to work on your cleaning regiment daily.
Whatever you decide works for you and is successful needs to happen without fail.
A haphazard approach never works and you would be deluding yourself.
Your teeth and gum maintenance has to be like eating and breathing.
You never go without it.
Tip # 2 Knowing Why You Need The Right Tools Whenever I have any kind of project or job to do I have always found that having the right tools makes all the difference.
For both the success of the project and the ease in doing it.
This is also true about cleaning your teeth and gums.
If you have inadequate tools to work with your results will be less than what you hope for.
It will also be a lot harder to get the job done quickly.
Unfortunately most people don't use the tools that are easily available.
Did you know that as few as 13 percent of the U.
S.
population reports consistently using dental floss.
Most people brush their teeth very quickly and don't take the time to to a complete and thorough job.
Fewer still use any kind of rinse that can kill bacteria.
Tip #3 The Tools I Use The tools I recommend and that I use are: An electric rotating head tooth brush.
Traditional string floss.
Wood toothpicks or something similar.
A Waterpik flosser.
A quality natural toothpaste with herbs or other ingredients designed to promote healthy teeth and gums.
A rinse to fight off bacteria.
I use both an herbal rinse made from Sangre de Drago and I also use hydrogen peroxide.
The herbal rinse and the hydrogen peroxide are used with my Waterpik flosser.
Tip #4 The Right Cleaning Sequence It's important to know how to clean your teeth and gums and possibly even more important is the sequence.
Start by doing a complete job of brushing with your high quality tooth paste.
Next go through your teeth with string floss to scape the plaque and obvious food particles away.
Next you stimulant the gums by using a tooth pick to probe between the teeth and into pockets.
Finally use your Waterpik to flush and further clean your teeth and gums with your bacteria fighting rinse.
The disinfectant action of the rinse is last so it stays around your teeth and gums and continues it's work fighting off the build up of bacteria.
Tip #5 Choose Your Diet Wisely Eating healthy foods goes without saying.
As for your oral health, stay away from sugar as much as possible.
Cut out sodas if you drink them.
