Les Perruches

• Jean Dupas displayed his painting "Les Perruches" in Paris, France, for the first time in 1925. The mural showed tall, elegant female figures with a brightly colored tree full of parrots in the background. Dupas, born in Bordeaux, France, in 1882, is one of the most famous Art Deco painters. Tamara in the Green Bugatti

• Tamara de Lempicka's portrait of herself driving a green Bugatti is an iconic Art Deco painting showing a strong woman in the post-war era. De Lempicka was born in Poland in 1898. She painted "Tamara in the Green Bugatti" for the cover of a German magazine in 1929. The painting shows a beautiful blond woman with a beige driving hat and scarf holding the steering wheel of a green sports car. • C. Cole Phillips was an American artist well-known for his paintings that illustrated popular magazines and advertisements in the 1920s.
