Organizations

• Freestyle Cage Fighting is the most prominent cage fighting event organizer in Oklahoma. FCF organizes regular cage fighting events, employs three ring girls to work each of these events and maintains a website with fight result listings and videos. The organization is associated with the Extreme Combat and Fitness Gym of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Other cage fight organizers in Oklahoma include Cage of Champions and the ABY Foundation. Events organized by ABY and Cage of Champions are less high profile than those organized by FCF.
  
  

Fight Events

• Freestyle Cage Fighting events consist of a number of fights. These events feature "Title Fights," "Super Fights" and a special female fight, in addition to a number of warm-up fights between less well-established fighters than those of the main event bouts. Sugar Creek Showdown is an annual cage fighting event organized by and held at the Sugar Creek Casino. Sugar Creek Showdown 3, which took place in January 2011, consisted of 15 fights.
  
  

Locations

• Sugar Creek Casino is in Hinton, Oklahoma, directly west of Oklahoma City in the central part of the state. Freestyle Cage Fighting evens take place at the FireLake Grand Casino in Shawnee. Shawnee is just east of Oklahoma City. Each of these casinos offers a full compliment of slots and games. FireLake also hosts concerts, poker tournaments and magicians. Other cage fighting events take place in Altus, in southwestern Oklahoma, and Woodward, in northwestern Oklahoma.
  
  

Recruiting

• Cage fighting events in Oklahoma are organized around high profile main fights. However, warm-up fights are scheduled to allow the crowd to trickle in, increase anticipation for the main event and test potential new stars of the sport. Such warm-up fights, particularly the earliest ones of a given event, are between unknown fighters. Organizers find these fighters through recruitment events. ABY Foundation and Cage of Champions both hold recruitment events before scheduled events to fill up the warm-up slots. Freestyle Cage Fighting does its recruitment through the Extreme Combat and Fitness Gym.
