Quick Inspection

  • When you have a drain issue, check the most obvious solution first. If there are any kinks in the drain hose, this can slow or stop draining of your washing machine. The drain hose should also be positioned above the level of water in the tub. In some models there is also a side-check valve located near the tub outlet that can get clogged. If your machine has a lint filter in or on the drain hose, this may be blocked. Inspect the filter to ensure that a small article of clothing such as a sock hasn't gotten stuck inside. Selecting the proper spin cycle is also important to proper drainage of your HE washing machine. If low or no spin is selected, the washer may not remove all of the water from the clothes.
