2 Easy Ways to Use Freewriting to Get Blog Post Ideas

Freewriting is simply the practice of doing a basic brain dump - writing without stopping to worry about what you're writing, without correcting your writing, and without stressing over whether or not what you write is worth publishing.
In fact, you likely will not publish on your blog what you produce during freewriting.
With that in mind, freewriting may then seem like a pointless exercise for bloggers.
But it's not.
Here are 2 ways that you can use freewriting to generate blog post ideas.
1.
Freewrite in response to articles that others in your niche have written.
While you may or may not want to publicly attack another blogger in your niche, you can "attack away" in when writing words that no one else will read.
This will help you to clarify your own thoughts on the matter and you can use those clarified thoughts in an article or in a series of articles on your blog.
2.
Use freewriting to do a brain dump of blog post ideas.
Remember that stream of consciousness writing is writing without stopping for a specified period of time, and one of the best ways that I've used to come up with blog post ideas is to just write a list of every single artcile idea that comes to mind - whether the idea is good or not.
Remember, you don't censor, or stop to think about whether or not an idea is good.
You just write.
Though you'll come up with some lame ideas this way (which you won't end up using), you'll also come up with some real gems.
This type of relaxed writing is a great way to get yourself unstuck as a blogger.
