  Chicoutimi, Quebec, is located 130 miles north of Quebec City at the meeting point of the Saguenay and Chicoutimi rivers. The Saguenay region is known for its natural beauty and is home to a number of national parks including Pointe-Tallon, Monts-Valin and Saguenay. Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hunting, canoeing, snowmobiling and cycling. Lac Perdu

• Lac Perdu is a remote fly-in camp located about 150 miles north of Chicoutimi. The isolation of Lac Perdu means that there are abundant northern pike, trout and whitefish with very few other anglers on the lake. Lodging is in two-bedroom lake-front cabins with wood stove and indoor plumbing. Cabins have kitchenettes and guests have the option of doing their own cooking or paying for a meal plan. Cooper Camp

• Cooper Camp is a fly-in or drive-in camp located 150 miles northwest of Chicoutimi. Cooper Camp is close to over 20 lakes with opportunities for giant pike, walleye and northern pike of up to 35 pounds. Lodging is in a restored hunting camp with single or double lodge rooms and cabins that can accommodate four to 12 people. Four-day packages include meals, accommodation and bus transportation from Montreal.

Lac Laflamme Outfitters

• Lac Laflamme, about 100 miles northeast of Chicoutimi in the Monts Valin region, is easily accessible by car. In addition to Lac Laflamme itself, there are more than 35 lakes that are easily accessible from the camp. The prime species available in the region is speckled trout. There are three lodging options: cottages with a full meal plan that can accommodate two to nine people, cottages with no meal plan that can accommodate four to 10 people and a VIP cottage with a full meal plan than can accommodate up to 12 people.
