Naked Scanner Machines in Airports and the Freedom It Takes Away From Us

Have you walked past the Airport full body scanner machines? Now, what did you feel while going through the naked scanner?Did the feeling of nakedness make you turn red with embarrassment? The full-body scanners at the Airports, meant for security, are clearly not being accepted by most people, especially the ones who physically have to go through them.
Some people do feel the intrusion of privacy and freedom while being asked to walk through these scanners.
The person in front of the monitors can clearly see the shape of our bodies, along with the outline of our genitals, or the outline of breasts in the case of women.
Most of the opposition for using the full body scanners comes from women, particularly the ones between the ages of 20 to 30 years.
Some of them even get the feeling of being molested every time they walked through the machines.
Many among them take it as the violation of their very human rights.
Not even knowing about how many people are watching their scans in the monitor room seems to give them the creeps.
Clearly, women tend to feel more embarrassed when compared to men.
Do you have the rights to turn down the full-body scanning at the airports? Technically yes, but the alternative option given to you can be more embarrassing and shameful than the scanning itself.
You will instead, need to agree for full body manual search by an Airport security personnel.
What this means is that they will be moving their hands all over your body, including your private parts.
You will even feel like being treated like a criminal.
Indeed a very discomforting situation to be in.
Money Conspiracy: Many people also suspect that is it is a conspiracy of money making behind the installation of these machines.
They strongly feel that the machines do not really help in detecting the explosives, but are installed only for the sole purpose of commercial interests by a few people in the Obama run government.
Misuse and Privacy: Now as we all know that the pictures taken from the scanners have been surfacing over the net, and you could easily find them by doing image search on search engines.
What is the guarantee that tomorrow, more high resolution pictures like these won't show up on blogs and social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter? One of the biggest concerns about these scanners is the misuse of privacy.
Why doesn't Obama government even understand that the digital security of citizens is as important as any other? I really hope that they find some other workarounds around this huge public concern, and decide on adopting the security measures that do not violate our basic human rights.
