Your description is vital as well as your keywords.
Do a proper keyword research before inserting them on your Meta "keywords" section.
*Aim for information and not colorful graphics.
It is time you begin to understand why people actually use the internet.
Their major purpose is to get information.
Even search robots focus primarily on the informational (quality) your web page has.
Do not make your website heavy with unnecessary colors and animations.
Simple and light web pages load faster when crawled by search engines.
*Drive only targeted visitors.
This is where a lot of people miss is real big.
The truth is that you do not actually need everybody to visit your website.
For instance, if you sell car accessories, it could be ridiculous if you want non-car owners on your website; isn't it? The only reasonable traffic you need is car owners and prospective ones.
That is the issue.
Each time you are driving traffic, aim for targeted ones.
The people that would actually make money for you, and not just everybody.

This phrase applies to those who are selling anything online.
In order to retain your current visitors, don't under deliver and over promise.
Customers are never comfortable with this.
Each time you make a promise, endeavour to carry it out.
Even go the extra mind towards giving out more.
Delivering what you promise will make visitors remain and want to buy over and over again.
They will also publicize your website to others without your knowledge.
