Butterfly Decorations For Weddings

What could be more beautiful and feminine than a butterfly? Their graceful nature and pretty colors make butterflies one of the most special motifs to use for a wedding.
These are some marvelous butterfly decorations which would add a touch of whimsy to any wedding.
The neat thing about using butterflies as a wedding decoration is that they are small and pretty.
They can be used sparingly for one or two surprise details, or as a unifying theme throughout your wedding.
A lovely place to begin is with wedding stationery which is either stamped or embossed with a butterfly in flight.
It would look lovely done in a either dark pink or purple against a paper in a paler shade of the same color for a soft tonal effect.
All little girls love butterflies, so if you use butterflies in only one part of your wedding, let it be the flower girl's attire.
Start with butterfly motif flower girl jewelry.
A dainty pendant featuring a sparkling crystal butterfly would be the ideal jewelry gift for a flower girl of any age.
Next, there is her dress.
A white organza flower girl dress can be embellished by stitching on small lace appliques in the shape of butterflies.
Let them be more heavy near the hem of the gown, and scattered more lightly towards the top of the dress so it looks like they are taking flight.
If you really want to go all out with the theme, use a flower girl dress in a solid color organza, and let your little one prance down the aisle wearing a set of beautiful butterfly wings.
Butterflies and flowers go hand in hand, so the wedding flowers would be a natural next place to decorate with butterflies.
Colorful mixed bouquets would be even more special with a few butterflies on long wires tucked in between the flowers so they appear to be perched on the blossoms.
Choose from silk, feather, or even enamel butterflies in an array of colors.
To make a very bold statement, create a bridal bouquet entirely out of feather and silk butterflies, formed into a nosegay shape.
If this feels like too much of a good thing for the bride, a scaled down version would be absolutely adorable for the flower girl and junior bridesmaids.
Rather than the standard white place cards, why not use die cut butterfly cards to graciously welcome guests to their seats at the reception? Simply pen the name of each guest onto a piece of heavy card stock in a butterfly shape, cut a slit into it, and perch it gracefully onto the rim of a wineglass at each place setting.
As a great tie in, the same shaped paper could be used for the escort cards.
Create a butterfly tree with the name and table numbers suspended from branches.
This would be an equally lovely idea for an indoor or an outdoor reception.
The final wedding element to decorate with butterflies is the wedding cake.
A scattering of the graceful winged creatures going up the tiers of the cake would be a gorgeous sweet ending to any wedding.
The butterfly theme is so elegant and whimsical that it is sure to add a touch of magic to your wedding.
