According to source - The Central Ohio Crime Stoppers crime of the week involves a campus area theft.
A 29-year-old was walking home from a South Campus Gateway bar when he was allegedly assaulted and had his wallet taken. The victim sustained a black eye, according to Crime Stoppers.
A short time later, the victims credit cards were allegedly used at a number of Columbus area businesses.
A suspect was caught on camera using a credit card belonging to the victim at a Chase Bank ATM.
The suspect was described as a black male with a medium complexion in his late 30s. He stands an estimated 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs around 180 pounds.
At the time of the crime, the suspect was wearing a black toboggan, dark sweatshirt, tan jacket, gray jeans, and cream or tan fingerless gloves.
According to Crime Stoppers, the suspect left the area in the passenger seat of a white 1993 to 2003 full size Chevy or GMC SUV.
Central Ohio Crime Stoppers posted a reward of as much as $2,000 for any information received by April 13, 2011 that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of the persons responsible for the theft.
