You do not have to have it set up where it shows post dates like a blog.
It will appear to be a completely normal site.
Many companies actually have WordPress installations that they use to manage their content.
Every page in WordPress can look different despite using a common theme.
One complain many have is that they can't make pages look different in WordPress.
They argue that everything is too uniform.
When you use the pages function in WordPress, you can actually use a different template for each page if you wish.
As long as you upload a php file into the theme folder, you can select this while writing or editing a page.
This will give you more control over certain pages where you want certain content to show up and certain content to not show up.
WordPress can break or be hacked.
Even though it's a good platform there is some vulnerability.
Make sure that you have a proper backup and that your host is doing what they can to keep your data secure.
Always upgrade if there is an update to WordPress since most of these have security patches in them.
Sometimes when using the plugins there can be some conflicts.
Be sure to turn off the last loaded plugin if the blog stops working suddenly.
