Unexpectedly, Charlie Sheen Pulled the Plug on His Twitter Account. What Do You Think About That?
Charlie Sheen was a mediocre actor throughout the 1980's & 1990's, however things changed with the sitcom €Two and a half men€ that became immensely popular and a huge TV hit, having Sheen as the protagonist, playing a hedonistic jingle writer named Charlie Harper. While the TV show is still aired, for Charlie Sheen the end of the road was season 9 (2011), when the network (CBS) was forced to abruptly end (temporarily) the production of the show due to Sheen's drug problems and his defamatory comments about the show creator and executive producer.
Sheen's firing from the show lead him in opening a Twitter account in order to inform his fans about his view of the facts about the producers' decision. His twitter account became an instant success having 2 million followers within only a month after his removal from the TV show;
Sheen turned twitter and the art of daily twitting into a new level of funny, insightful comments, cryptic sayings and popular catchphrases, and soon enough his account reached 8 million followers - which is quite an impressive number. However, last Friday Sheen twitted €Reach for the Stars everyone. Dogspeed cadre. C's out€, pulling the plug on his Twitter account. According to the TMZ gossip site, Sheen's decision - according to his closest friends - was made because €he wasn't getting anything out of Twitter and the Social Media in general€.
The Jeebboo team wanted to find out the impact out of Sheen's €Farewell to the Arms€ message and his decision to close his Twitter account, thus the following poll was created: €Charlie Sheen quits Tweeter! What do you think about that?€
Most Jeebboo members seem to uphold the actor's decision by a combined 88%. More specifically, 70% sided with the option €I don't care about what Sheen does€, while another 18% with €It was about time€. Clearly the vast majority of the Jeebboo members seem to dislike him, which can be explained by Sheen's long history of alcohol and drug addiction, his relationship with a number of adult film actresses over the years and the charges of his former wife (Denise Richards) for violently mistreating her. Also, who can forget his audacity in Today Show interview where he boasted: €I'm tired of pretending like I'm not special. I'm tired of pretending like I'm not a total bitchin' rock star from Mars€; these kinds of comments can you highly unpopular to public.
Contrary to the above, 11% of the Jeebboo members seem to regret Sheen's decision to close his Twitter account (€Don't tell me that! It's a pity€).
