How to Make Receipts in Notepads & Writing Pads

    • 1). Select a fresh sheet of paper from your notepad where no marks or writing have been made.

    • 2). Write down the name of your business or company, the address and phone number. If you don't have a formal business name, fill in other relevant information that will identify you.

    • 3). Using the lines of the paper, create a small table which lists the goods or services purchased, and at what price, with a final total listed at the bottom. This is the sole purpose of the receipt, so write clearly and lay out all of the facts and figures.

    • 4). Indicate what amount the customer paid, and by what method (cash, check, credit card). Write the amount of change given if the person paid a cash amount greater than the total.
