Physical Exercise, Nutrition and Calorie management are just part of the process of creating the body you want.
There's another useful process that won't cost you a thing, won't require sweat and you won't have to deprive yourself--but it can make a difference in your attitude and internal emotional support: Choose & Use your clothes closet to strengthen your intention to lose weight.
Most of us who carry more "bulk" than we've wanted have collected an assortment of sizes of clothing.
Over-time (if you're old enough) you've probably gone through several cycles of "big clothes" and "skinny clothes"--and then back again.
And, these sets of clothing probably fill your closet whether they still fit or not.
They deliver conflicting (and unconscious) messages of hope and defeat.
When you go to the closet to pick out what to wear, do you need to try on several outfits to see which fits, which is comfortable enough and which complements your body? Every time you scrutinize your wardrobe, you are sending thoughts inward and outward.
Those thoughts might sound like: "I'll never get into that again" or "I can't wear this it makes my rear-end look too big".
Or maybe you don't have words for your thoughts--just a sad, mad or disappointed feeling.
According to the "Law of Attraction", what you SEE, what you DO, and what you BELIEVE all affect how you FEEL--and those actions will ultimately affect the outcome of your "downsize" effort.
Here's some suggestions to use the Law of Attraction get your mind and your emotions working together on your body project.
==>Get rid of the bulk.
Although it takes time for bulky fat to melt from your body, you can start the process and feel better for your effort in a just a few hours.
Reducing the visual bulk in your closet will symbolize a reduction in the bulk of you.
Every time you scour your closet for something you want to wear, you press yourself to make a decision; you potentially face disappointment and an acknowledgement that you haven't met your goal yet.
So, be brave and ruthless, open your closet doors and take out everything that doesn't fit you right now.
==>Get organized.
Try on ALL of your clothing items and sort them into "up-size" or "down-size" piles.
Put the too-big-for-you items in a box...
and prepare to give them away! The Law of Attraction suggests that the more you integrate your senses into a process, the more accurate energy you send into the universe about what you want.
Pay attention to what it feels like to remove old clothing from the hangers, what it feels like to try them on and what it feels like if the clothing is too small or too large.
If you find clothes that are too large, fold them gently, put them in a box and prepare to deliver them to a charity or friend.
The more you connect with the feelings of giving the "old" things away, the more you align with and strengthen your commitment to creating the freedom of less stuff (less pounds, too?).
When you find clothing that's too small, gently put those items in a separate box.
Put this box out-of-sight at the ready for when you've slimmed down and the current contents of your closet need to be "down-sized" again.
Then, when you open the box, it will feel like Christmas--a whole new wardrobe you'd almost forgotten.
The newly opened box of clothing for your down-sized body will be concrete evidence of your success.
Imagine what that will feel like! ==>Demonstrate your Commitment.
When you give your clothing away, you send with it a message of commitment.
If you keep a few of your old "favorites", you may reduce the strength of your message to the universe.
Holding back could be saying, "I'm going to give away all of this--but this is my all time favorite and I may want to wear it again someday".
Your "tentative commitment" (an oxymoron?) could keep you in a weight-holding pattern rather active down-sizing mode.
So, rev up your courage and your commitment--pass your favorites forward for another person to treasure--and you'll confirm and demonstrate your belief that you are downsizing permanently.
==>Keep room in your closet for empty hangers.
The empty hangers suggest new clothing to come.
They become a symbol of preparation for the body you're becoming and evidence your intention to dress them with new exciting and satisfying clothing to come.
Every time you open the closet door, the empty hangers imply potential--and your mind becomes available for what's possible.
