How to Use Frozen Expressed Breastmilk
- 1). Remove the breast milk in its glass container with a tight lid or in a breast milk storage bag from the freezer and place in the back of the refrigerator 1 day before using it to thaw it.
- 2). Fill a mixing bowl with warm, not hot, water and submerge the storage container into the water to thaw or warm the milk. Check the warm water and replace the water if it is too cold to thaw or warm the breast milk.
- 3). Shake the milk in its sealed container to re-combine any milk fat with the nutrients. Pour the breast milk into a clean, sterilized bottle and feed the infant.
