Twitter Tools - My Top 3 Twitter Tools and Where You Can Get Them

103 28
If you have been using twitter for a while, you know that there are lots of twitter tools, or twitter API's nowadays.
There are free tools and paid tools, but it truly seems as if Twitter without twitter tools seems unthinkable these days.
So what kind of tools could you be interested in? There are so many different types, it's mindboggling.
There are tools to manage your tweets, to automate getting twitter followers, to keep up-to-date with your topic, it's endless.
You won't want to use all of them, but it's pretty handy to have a few of these cute tools as they really do make things a lot easier.
I'll describe three of them here, what they do, and where you can get them.
My personal favourite is the last one.
I thought I would give you the purpose of the tool first, and then an example of the twitter api, or twitter tool itself.
1.
Finding out who on twitter is interested in your niche, or your interest.
If it is in your interest to get more twitter followers, or learn about other people who seem to have a similar interest, then I recommend tools that can give you that information easy and fast.
One such tool is Twellow, which you can get at www.
twellow.
com
and it is free.
You can enter a keyword of your interest, e.
g.
Golf, Internet Marketing, Parenting, Gardening etc, and out comes a list with the most popular personalities on twitter with that same interest.
Very handy indeed.
The twitter list is ordered by number of twitter followers, so the person with the highest number of followers comes first etc.
You can now click on that link, check on what kind of tweets they send, read their profile, and perhaps decide to follow that person.
As a side-effect, if you do this you might find that this person, and even some of their followers, start following you too! Nice.
2.
Keeping up to date with all the tweets of your interest.
For this I recommend Tweetdeck, which is also free.
You can get it at http://www.
tweetdeck.
com
Tweetdeck is actually a desktop twitter API, meaning that you don't have to open your browser and be logged on to the twitter site to use it.
What tweetdeck does is it allows you to follow tweets in realtime, and warns you when someone posted a tweet with your keyword, or topic, in it.
It also allows you to create groups of friends, colleagues, competitors etc.
Bascially you can see everything you want to see at once.
The tweetdeck dashboard on your desktop looks cool too! 3.
Getting more twitter followers on auto-pilot.
This is my absolute favorite, mainly because it works! This one creates niche targeted traffic for you automatically.
