Eye Puffiness is commonly associated with not having enough sleep or otherwise an excessive sleep hours and excessive crying. When you sleep, your eyes become puffy. The reason behind this phenomenon is that fluids in your body can easily be stocked up in the areas under your eyes when you sleep in your stomach. Whether it may be caused by a sleepless night, heavy drinking, or stress, fluid retention can give way to the appearance of those puffy eyelids the moment you wake up. Generally, the morning face occurs when there is extra blood flow in the eyes due to the very thin skin of the lids. Whatever the cause may be, there are a couple of home remedies available which can help reduce puffy face.

Salt causes your body to retain much water, and this leads to facial bloating. When you snack with food loaded with lots of salt, you're likely to feel thirsty and your face will swell the next day. So this means you'll have to say goodbye to chips, burgers, pizza, and other foods with high sodium content. A good trick is to prepare your own food at home so that you can control the amount of salt you consume. Drinking alcohol and consuming salty foods can also cause this because it minimizes the anti-diuretic hormones in the body which also causes water build up in some facial parts. As for the morning face caused by allergies, it is usually accompanied by other problems like itching and redness.

To use tea bags, dip two bags in a bowl with cold water for only a few seconds then apply them one at a time for approximately 10-15 minutes. Sometimes there are tea bags that turn soggy when soaked in water so another option is to lightly moisten the bags and putting them in the refrigerator for a few minutes to chill. Fat on the face can make the skin appear lose and saggy. To give it a toned look, one needs to do cardio exercises regularly. Walking or running on the treadmill, cycling and doing aerobic exercises are some of the best ways to get the appealing display of cheekbones. For the best results two minutes of walking must be alternated with two minutes of running on the treadmill.

Your eyes are kept in the place by the septum in the eye socket, which becomes weaker as you get older. Due to this, the fat within the socket becomes more pronounced so giving the impression of puffiness under the eyes. The other sort of puffiness comes due to fluid retention and is more apparent during the mornings. You should try sleeping with your head in a raised position on a pillow to allow for drainage and avoid using oily products near your eyes. Peel a cucumber and cut it into thin slices. Place the slices under the eyes for 20 minutes. Cucumber has cooling properties and also has antioxidants which help your eyes staying fresh and clean.
