How to Install a Comcast Cable Phone
- 1). Contact Comcast and sign up for the telephone service. It is cheaper if you sign up for three services at one time as Comcast gives you a reduced rate for doing so (such as the telephone, cable and Internet services). Set up a day and time frame for a Comcast technician to stop by and hook up your service. This is primarily focused on the Internet and cable hook up (they don't do anything with your phone connection on the interior of the home).
- 2). Plug the phone line cable into the telephone connection jack in the wall.
- 3). Insert the opposite end of the cable into the "Line-In" port on the side of the telephone.
- 4). Plug the telephone into a local power outlet (if required by the phone). Once you are connected and the Comcast technician is done hooking up your service, you are ready to begin making and receiving phone calls.
