Novak"s Landmark Grill
About.com Rating
The Bottom Line
Update: Novak's Landmark Grill is closed. In its place is Cindi's New York Delicatessen.
Novak's Landmark Grill, located across from Union Station, is a great spot to grab lunch or breakfast. A menu of items typically expected of a grill lends Novak's a familiar air. The food is made fresh right in front of you—I didn't even see a heat lamp in the kitchen.

Guide Review - Novak's Landmark Grill
Clean
The first word that came to mind when I entered Novak's was clean—the muted sunshine walls, the polished tile floor, the shiny aluminum kitchen. The artificial ivy decorating the low dividing wall had even been dusted recently. Fantastic. There's nothing like cleanliness to give me confidence when trying a new restaurant.
And Friendly, Too!
The door buzzed when I walked in and immediately someone appeared at the counter. He greeted me and asked how I was. Less than five minutes later, as he put the finishing touches on my order, he chatted with me and said he hoped I'd be back. I appreciated the professional friendliness that came across as genuine interest in me as a customer.
The Food
The food was tasty.
Just off the grill, my sandwich was cold meat and fresh veggies encased in crisp, buttery toast. Mmmm. Burgers, melts, and hot and cold sandwiches served with chips or sides make up the bulk of the menu. Cookies rest on the counter by the cash register, tempting the hungry customer. Beverages offered are Coca-Cola products, Starbucks bottled drinks, juices, and bottled water. Call (214) 744-4745 to find out the special of the day.
