Sound Insulation for Control Noise Problem
Sound Insulation Testing is a process of testing how many decibels of sound are blocked by floors, walls and ceilings. This testing is mandatory as per the Building Regulations Approved Document E (2003). The companies which are authorised to perform Sound Insulation Testing are the registered companies who are eligible with either the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) or the Association of Noise Consultants (ANC).
The testing is performed in order to check, if there is any excess noise between the dwellings and it does not affect the quality of life of the people living in it. In any case, if a new dwelling seems to be falling down to capture the requirements of regulations, there are UK based air testing and sound testing services providers who have vast experience in performing testing services for new buildings. All the buildings must acquire and pass the mandatory requirements of Building Regulations.
Air testing is a process of testing the uncontrolled flow of air in the gaps and cracks of walls and dwelling. Air leakage is a major problem that can cause health issues like breathing problems. Air Tightness Testing is also required under Part L regulations. Air tightness testing is the compulsory process as the uncontrolled airflow in the building though the gaps and cracks can lead to air leakage. Air leakage creates heat loss that ultimately results in CO2 emissions. Also energy efficiently is also tested through SAP calculations as a part of Building Regulations Part L compliance for all new building either commercial or residential.
