How to Make Money Fast in Fable 2
- 1). Get a job. One of the first things you character will do once it comes of age is get a job. While you can complete this stage of your life rather quickly and move on, it actually pays to keep your job and level up your skills. For instance, if you decide to go into smithery, you will start out making 50 gold per sword. However, at higher levels, you can make up to 5,000 gold per sword. Since each sword takes about a minute to craft, you can accrue more than 300,000 gold in the space of an hour.
- 2). Steal money. If your character has negative or evil attributes, you can steal money. However, this will require that you level up your pickpocketing ability, especially if you want to steal from wealthy citizens. You can steal money even if you are a "good" character, but you will have to balance your thievery with random acts of kindness to maintain your positive attributes.
- 3). Buy and rent real estate. Once you earn a large amount of capital (an excess of 500,000 gold) you can start buying houses around the country and rent them out to tenants. Money from renters is added to your wallet automatically as soon as it is due, even if you turn the game off. If you buy a lot of houses, rent them out, and then leave the game alone for a month, you will have a very rich character when you start up again.
- 4). Gamble. Although this is certainly risky, gambling in the world of Fable 2 is very lucrative. The Keystone game can yield you the best results (a single run can net you more than 1000% profit) but the chances of winning this game are very slim due to the large number of possible outcomes--the game is based on roulette.
- 5). Reset your clock. Although this is not generally advised, if you are absolutely desperate for money you can reset your Xbox 360's system time to a date in the future. If you have houses for rent or money that gains interest, setting your clock several years in the future can unlock millions of gold for you. However, you have a limit of 20,000 gold per year (after inactivity) so you will have to reset the clock for a year ahead, save, turn the game off and then repeat the process to get the full benefit of this cheat.
