First Shots

• Charge the included battery overnight and then place it into the camera (the battery door is on the bottom). Insert an SD memory card into the memory card slot. Turn the camera on by pressing the power button in the top of the camera next to the shutter button. Slide the mode button to the camera icon, then press the function/set button to select the Auto mode.
  
  The zoom is controlled with the little lever in front of the shutter button. Use the zoom to get the desired shot, then press the shutter halfway down to focus. Press the shutter all the way in to take the shot.
  
  

Scene modes

• The SD750 has a variety of digital scene modes that enable a photographer to take better shots by telling the camera what type of picture he is trying to take. Slide the mode button to SCN. Use the function/set button and the left/right arrow buttons to select a scene. The SD750 has modes for Portrait, Night Portrait, Kids and Pets, Indoors, Foliage, Snow, Beach, Fireworks, Aquarium and Underwater. The SD750 has a separate underwater housing, the WP-DC14, that can be purchased for use when scuba diving.
  
  

Panoramic Shots

• The SD750 has a Stitch Assist mode that allows a photographer to shoot two images that can be merged to create a panoramic shot. This mode is accessed by turning the mode dial to the camera icon, then pressing the function/set button and scrolling to Stitch Assist. The SD750 has two Stitch Assist modes, one going from left to right and one from right to left. Select the desired mode, then focus and shoot the first mode. The camera will now help you to take the second shot so it overlaps with the first; line up the borders, focus, and take the second shot. The SD750 can stitch together up to 26 images into a single image. Repeat the procedure if additional shots are desired. Use Photo Stitch in the supplied software to turn the images into panoramic shots.
