3 Online Dating Tips For Men and Women
People are busier, social events and interactions are different, and it is less likely you will marry young and marry for life.
Online dating is here and here to stay.
To some it seems strange, but honestly it is no stranger than other forms of dating, simply different.
It does work and supposedly 1 out of 5 marriages begin online.
In the next decade it could easily become over 50%.
Dating has a learning curve and so does the online variant.
That should come as no surprise but many people seem surprised by it.
You get better by doing it, although reading advice helps also.
Here are 3 tips I've learned the hard way.
First of all, what dating site do you join? There are hundreds, from mainline sites like Match, Eharmony, Okcupid, Plenty of Fish and others to niche sites such as for vegetarians, fitness freaks, and Star Trek Fans.
There are also ethic and religious based sites to choose from.
Each site will attract different types of people, and you cannot necessary tell if you will like the people or the site unless you try it.
Sure, maybe you can ignore sites whose clientele you don't match like perhaps Muslim dating sites and vegetarian dating sites if you are not Muslim or vegetarian, but there are still plenty of sites to choose from.
Start with at least two.
Maybe you'll like one, maybe not, but at least you will experience them.
Who knows, maybe you'll need to try 5 or 6 until you find one you like? Secondly, make a commitment to try a site for at least a couple of months, and online dating for at least several months.
There is a big learning curve, and every site has creeps and swell people, just like every town does.
You absolutely need to give it a chance and figure out how it works and which sites may work for you.
Third, you should be sending messages out.
Even if you are female with very attractive pictures and lots of men contacting you, the men you are most interested may not, so feel free to look around and contact men yourself.
And men, you will need to send literally hundreds of messages out each month in order to get dates.
Sending 5 or 8 a night is not a big deal nor a lot of work, and that is what it takes to succeed.
