Sometimes falling in love is almost an instant reaction when you meet someone. With others it takes time and getting to feel comfortable with each other before you come to the realization that you are in love. Some experts will tell you that a woman falls in love emotionally while a man mulls things over in his head before transmitting these feelings to his emotions. There may be some truth to this, because a woman is usually the first one in a relationship to say I love you. This can sometimes cause a problem. The trouble with speaking from emotion is that once the words are said they can't be taken back. They hang out there in the air and no matter how hard we wish them back, they stay hanging in the air and worst of all in the ears of whomever is in hearing range.

Although saying I love you is always good to hear and makes you feel wanted and appreciated, when you say I love you too soon in a relationship it can be bad and result in causing anxiety for your man. This is how to lose your boyfriend by saying I love you. If your boyfriend is not ready to take the relationship to that level he might start pulling away from you. He may feel that you are trying to get him to say he loves you and although he might feel that way he is not ready to put it into words.

To keep from losing your boyfriend by saying I love you, change the pace of your relationship. Become less available to him. Go out with friends and let him see that you have another life. Break a date now and then. He will begin to wonder if he heard you right when you said I love you. He won't feel that you are trying to trap him. By you giving him some space he will feel the need to chase you a little harder and before you know it he will be saying those magical words to you. When he is the first to utter those words again you won't have to be afraid of losing your boyfriend by saying I love you.
