Exercise - Not a Requirement For Weight Loss!
Well, all the experts are not wrong! But, they are not right either.
I am making this bold statement based on what I see with most of the people out here.
Well, give me a chance to elaborate and prove my point.
I am sure that, if you are serious about weight loss, you have picked up the basics till now.
The basics being, if you want to lose weight, consume less calories & burn more calories! The deficit in calories that your body needs, will come from burning your "fat reserves" and you will lose weight.
Period.
For example: The average man, needs about 1800 calories per day.
The average women, needs about 1200 calories per day.
If, for example, you are a woman, you need to restrict your calorie intake to less than 1200 calories, if you want to lose weight.
If you are not keeping an account of how many calories you eat, then how will you know if you went above or below 1200? Now, I am not doubting that exercise will help increase the requirement of calories.
Maybe take it to 2200 calories per day! But here is a very powerful idea that you need to consider...
If you eat ONE brownie, you just cancelled out a one hour work-out on the treadmill.
If you eat TWO brownies, because you worked out a whole lot and you feel like you deserve it, you just gained weight! The point is, calories are calories are calories! You need to keep a very tight check on how many calories go in! A brownie is seemingly harmless.
But, it can reverse the effect of everything you are trying to achieve! Now, this brings me to my original point...
For most people, who are not too obese, exercise is not even required if you want to lose weight.
Just a very tight control over how many calories you consume should do the trick.
If you can create a deficit in how many you consume and how many your burn, you should see results! No doubt that, exercise will help speeding up the process.
But, for most people who are not particularly over-weight, exercise is not a requirement!
