How to Troubleshoot a Heat N Glo Blower
- 1). Replace the batteries and reprogram the transmitter if the starter system is not responding. Replace the batteries in the transmitter by removing the back panel then switching out the old batteries for fresh ones. Also verify that the transmitter is programmed to "receiver."
- 2). Resolve any issues with the ignition system, typically signified by seven short beeps followed by a five-second continuous beep or beeping. Do this by setting the main switch to the "On" position then check that all of the connections are secure and not loose. Also straighten the pins on the eight-wire connector.
- 3). Listen for three short beeps as the motor on the valve operates. This indicates that the battery in the unit is low, and you should replace the module batteries or connect to
the transformer. - 4). Turn the manual override knob to the "On" position if the pilot flame lights but no main gas flows through the unit. If the flame modulator is not rotating, then you have a bad valve or bad module, which must be replaced.
