LEGO For Fans Of Star Wars

The LEGO company started around 1923 making wooden toys but what we know as the little plastic bricks came much, much later.
This system called LEGO came around about 1966.
The first set, the LEGO Train set, was launched and it was so loved by kids it is still being produced and sold even today.
Since then, the LEGO Company released plenty of other systems, including boats, cities, and space in which you would buy one building, or spaceship at a time and assemble it to form the ultimate set.
The LEGO sets have been made larger and more intricate and I'd bet that everybody has made some sort of castle, house or auto-mobile with them.
I remember having lots of LEGO when I was a kid, I did have other brands but they were not as good as LEGO (I called them blocks not bricks) They've even stepped into the movie and comics and cartoon worlds by having sets and characters, such as Spiderman, Speed Racer, Sponge Bob, and even the Potter movies, and places to kids and adults alike to build and have fun..
So there isn't any surprise that one of the largest themes for LEGO is the Star Wars LEGO sets.
It was 1999 when Lucas and LEGO made the deal and produced the first licensed LEGO sets.
LEGOs first set in the Star Wars series was the great X-Wing Star fighter that Luke flew.
Soon afterwards, this was followed by several sets based on the original trilogy of movies, and more recently based on the prequel trilogy.
I prefer the sets from the movies four, five and six.
Other sets called the Ultimate Collectors Series have also been released by LEGO and had sets such as LEGO Darth Vader UCS, the Death Star (with a heap of minifigures) and the huge Millennium Falcon.
These are very large, very detailed sets with thousands of bricks.
The X-Wing set has all of the parts you need to construct either the Red Three or Red 5 Starfighter - that is Lukes or Wedges starfighter ship in the movies! In the set you get great Star Wars LEGO minifigures of the movies hero Luke Skywalker, Wedge Antilles, the cool Han Solo, furry Chewbacca, the always pretty Princess Leia and the cheeky R2-D2.
What an amazing classic LEGO set that offers you everything that you need to stop the evil Empire.
There has also been a whole range of video games released which are based on all of six Star Wars films but you play them in LEGO form.
The first one came out in 2005 followed by The Original Trilogy a year later and The Complete Saga in the year 2007.
The first three games were then followed by The Clone Wars in 2009.
So you'll be able to play with the LEGO X-Wing and pretend you are in the movie as Luke from the Rebel Alliance battling the evil Vader and The Empire.
