With a population of about 100,000, Fargo is the largest city in North Dakota. While winters in that northern U.S environment are normally long, cold, and snowy, the short summers bring a stampede of RV campers to the area for golfing, fishing, and water skiing. Winter attractions like ice fishing and snow skiing provide something of a seasonal balance. A handful of Fargo area campgrounds provide RV owners a place to park their rig, along with full-service hookups. - The Lindenwood Campground in Fargo is conveniently located at exit 351, just off Interstate 94. Heavily wooded and situated along the banks of the Red River, Lindenwood is for the RV camper who wants to feel like he's in the wilderness—but doesn't mind the convenience of electricity, running water, hot showers, paved drive, bike trails, fire pits, and playgrounds for the kids. 46 camp sites come equipped with water and electricity for the RV traveler. Lindenwood is open May 1 through October 15 and the current rate for an RV site with water and electricity is $25.50 nightly. Bicycle rentals on-site allow guests to explore the area by leg power.
