How to Make Interlocking Brick
- 1). Set two 1-by-4-by-12-inch boards on edge, parallel and 4 inches apart. Set two 1-by-4-by-4-inch boards between them at right angles, on edge and so they're flush with the ends of the 12-inch boards. Screw through the 12-inch boards and into the ends of the 4-inch boards so two screws enter each end of the 4-inch boards. This is the frame to your interlocking brick mold.
- 2). Set the 1-by-6-by-12-inch board on top of the frame so the edges are flush and screw it to the frame using four screws. This is the base to your mold.
- 3). Position a pair 1-by-1-by-4-inch boards inside a pair of corners so they are perpendicular inside the frame and 2 inches apart. Screw through the 4-inch board on the frame and into these boards, using two screws for each board.
- 4). Position the last 1-by-2-by-4-inch board against the 4-inch board on the frame that is opposite the 4-inch board in the last step. The 1-by-2-inch board is on end, flat against the 4-inch board and 1 inch away from each corner. Screw through the 4-inch board on the frame and into the 1-by-2-inch board in this position.
- 5). Pour your cement mix into the interlocking brick mold and let the cement cure according to the instructions on the package. Flip the frame upside-down and tap it on a hard surface to remove the finished brick from the mold.
