Video: How to Build Hydroponics for Tall Plants
Video Transcript
Hi, I'm Paul Holowko. Today, we're gonna learn how to make a hydroponics system for tall plants. Now a tall plant can mean anything of a viney, like a viney tomato plant or you want to go ahead and plant a kiwi fruit or some non-deciduous plant. If you're gonna do a non-deciduous plant in your hydroponic system you really need to have the entire tub or placed on the ground or very low. In this case right here you can see I have plants on the bottom section which then can grow up. A perennial plant has to be, has to have space to grow up as well as has to have light all year around. It's best not to allow it to go dormant and remember is a long term commitment because it will be there for several years. So you can actually have your plant as you're going to tie it up is be a tall plant you can tie it up or string it up with string. You can tie it up here on this bar in this particular case or you frankly can hang strings along the side and have everything criss-cross going all the way to the top. Your imagination is really left up to you how you really want to structure your system. Just remember a key point is make sure you have a large enough depth for the roots to grow for especially a non-deciduous plant and make sure you have enough space where the plant can room to grow and air to breath. I'm Paul Holowko.
