Knowing how to work in the stock market early was not easy, but it really opened my eyes to the world of investment.
This market is a self-regulating market.
It is difficult to explain the reasons that make it act as it does.
It is a platform for investment where by one buys any of shares of the entities quoted in the market.
It requires a lot of prediction so as to know when to buy or sell shares.
Stock markets are depended on the natural forces of any market.
These are demand and supply.
I had to familiarize myself with these two concepts for me to understand how the market works.
Stock markets match sellers of stock will buyers.
Normally I open accounts with E*Trade.
Afterwards I send them (E*Trade) a check.
The normal amount is $1,000.
They deposit the cheque in an account, usually a trading account listed under the remitters' name.
All this happens online.
The services are automated.
You can do this from the comfort of your home.
After ones account is debited, it is possible to purchase shares for the amount remitted.
The stock market has agents who will transact business on behalf of both the seller and the buyer.
This trade info is transmitted to clearing houses, which process the info and register the shares to the buyer.
It is imperative for any investor or any employee of these markets to understand how they work.
Competence is hinged on this knowledge.
I have worked for a stock market for a long time.
Initially, the services were manual.
With the automation of services, I had to acquire more knowledge for me to stay afloat and relevant.
