How to Get Hair to Stay Back When Pushed Back
- 1). Dampen your hair slightly with water from a spray bottle. Place a plastic or cloth headband along your hairline and push it as far back as you want it.
- 2). Gather your hair into two or three sections along the hairline. You can either part it straight down the middle or gather it into loose sections. Add barrettes or hair clips to each section and clamp them shut. You can also secure each section with large-sized bobby pins.
- 3). Scoop about 1 or 2 tsp. of non-flaking gel into your hands, rub your hands together and smooth it along the hair line. Brush the hair back to hold it in place. You can also spray your hair with hair spray or add hair mousse for a firmer hold.
- 4). Pull the hair back and add ponytail holders or scrunchies to hold it in the position that you want. You can also apply gel, mousse or hairspray to smooth the hairline.
