Columbus, Georgia is a beautiful Southern town. While camping in Columbus you can enjoy the Chattahoochee Riverwalk, a 15-mile trail. Other attractions include Callaway Gardens, Roosevelt's Little White House, the Columbus Museum, the Coca Cola Space Science Center and the Port Columbus National Civil War Museum. The Civil War Museum has one of the largest collections of naval artifacts from both the Southern and Northern navies. - The Uchee Creek Army Campground is open year-round to military personnel, Department of Defense (DOD) civilians and their families. The facilities include camping pads, full-service RV sites, an RV rally site, log cabins and pavilions. This campground allows pets at specific cabins only.
Campground amenities include boat rentals, three different size cabins, two types of chalets, 30 foot RVs, a country store, laundromats, playgrounds, a pool and fishing.
Rates are based on the person's rank. Rates are lower for rank E5 and below and higher for ranks E6 and above. Reservations must be canceled a full 14 days in advance in order to receive a complete refund.

uchee.benningmwr.com - The Lake Pines Campground offers 20 acres of pine forest that is open year-round. Amenities include full hookup sites, 30/50 amp service, long pull through sites, propane for purchase, pool, laundromats, dump stations, primitive sites, a full-service event center and is close to Fort Benning. The campground allows pets; however, they must be maintained on a six-foot leash.
Lake Pines offers daily, weekly and monthly rates. Rates are based on a minimum occupancy. Additional campers will cost extra.

The F.D. Roosevelt State Park offers 9,049 acres along with two lakes where you can stay on one of the 140 tent/trailer/RV sites. There are 14 backcountry sites, 22 cottages and two group camps. Amenities include hiking, backpacking, fishing, boating, horseback riding and ranger programs.
