Video: How to Use Pins With Curly Hair
Video Transcript
Hi, I¡¯m T. Cooper. I¡¯m a New York City makeup artist, hairstylist, and I¡¯m co-founder of beauty and grooming company, Metro Look. Today, I¡¯m going to talk to you about how to use pins in curly hair. You can use pins in curly hair the same way that you can in straight hair. And, with curly hair, because it has a little bit more texture, sometimes the pins grip even better, because straight hair tends to be a little bit on the silkier side. So, I¡¯m just going to give you a quick hair pin demo. So, you¡¯ll need bobby pins just like this. I¡¯m going to section off a little bit of my model¡¯s hair, and just pin it back. This is something I like to do in my hair all the time. And then, you just open up the pin, and slide it through the hair, and then that¡¯s it. Because her hair has some texture in it already, it¡¯s holding put. But, just in case it wasn¡¯t, you take another bobby pin and you crisscross your pins. One pin helps the other pin kind of stay nice and secure, and it¡¯s almost like a X. And then, you could even, to hide it, you just throw some hair over it and then look, no one could even see it. I¡¯m T. Cooper, and thank you so much for watching.
