How to Donate Cars for Tots

    • 1). Clean the cars up as much as possible. To donate anything you should make it presentable so that the charity workers don't have to take the time out of their schedules to do it.

    • 2). Check for any damage and fix it. Things such as a loose connection on a battery-powered car or a loose peddle on a foot-powered car should be corrected before donation.

    • 3). Call the donation location to make sure that they will take large items such as toddler cars. Good places to try, that accept large items, are Good Will, Salvation Army and Humane Society thrift stores.

    • 4). Take the cars to the donation site. If you want the toys to possibly go directly to a child without them having to purchase it, you might also check with local women's shelters or children's homes.
