    Hunger Grants

    • The Presbyterian Hunger Program grants are funded through the One Great Hour of Sharing offering. This special offering is collected every Easter. Grant funds go to international and national organizations fighting hunger in all its forms. Eligible projects include not only those that directly feed hungry populations, but proposals for sustainable agriculture and other issues affecting food availability and economics for impoverished people.

    Community Organizing Grants

    • Through its Congregational Based Community Organizing grants, the church helps rebuild communities and revitalize local congregations. The CBCO start-up grants fund new community organizations, ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 as of 2011. Grant amounts depend on the project and financial need. The CBCO housing grant supports work dealing with issues of affordable housing or homelessness, and also range from $5,000 to $10,000. The initial grant for both endeavors is for one year, but the CBCO may apply in subsequent years.

    Education Grants

    • The Presbyterian Church U.S.A. Native American Education Grants provide funding for indigenous American students demonstrating financial need to pursue post-secondary education. Eligible students must be registered members of a federally or state-recognized Native American tribe, and Presbyterian Church membership is preferred. Only students enrolled in school full-time may apply. Certain donor-funding restricts eligibility to members of the Eskimo, Nez Perce, Hopi, Navajo, Papago and Tohono O'odham tribes.

Education grants are also available for leadership training and other church-related opportunities for members of Presbyterian congregations.

    Other Presbyterian Church Grants

    • With proceeds from the annual Thank Offering collected in Presbyterian churches, grants are provided for national and international health ministries as well as initiatives for child and elder care, agricultural development, criminal and economic justice, homelessness, drug counseling, employment training, homelessness, anti-violence programs, literacy and women's issues.

The church's Urban Ministry Office provides grants for Presbyterian congregations involved with affordable housing ministries. Such ministries may target specific populations in need, including the elderly, homeless or mentally or physically-challenged. Projects may range from single-family dwellings to multi-family housing.
